Is a notice of claim needed for CTA?

From June 1, 2009 the CTA has needed no written notice of claim. The old 6-month notice was taken out of the CTA's law by Illinois. What remains is short: the lawsuit itself must be filed within 1 year, which is half the 2 years Illinois's law usually allows.

That time limit is set by 70 ILCS 3605/41.

Filing a claim with CTA

No form needs to be filed up front. What protects you is the lawsuit itself, filed with the court no more than 1 year after the accident.
