Privacy notice
The business responsible
The site this notice covers is train-accident-lawyer.com. Prescott Partners Inc., 1001 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Suite 700, Washington, DC 20004, United States is the business responsible for your information. Send privacy questions or requests to help@train-accident-lawyer.com.
Information we gather
- When you send the form: we get your name, phone number, transit system, the accident date and the short description you type. We also save the time, your browser type, your IP address and the consent line printed beside the Send button, as proof that you agreed.
- When you call: we note the number you called from, what time you called and how many minutes the call ran. A call may be recorded; this helps the firm reviewing your case keep an accurate record of the call. A notice plays before recording begins.
- When you browse: standard server logs (IP address, time, pages requested, browser and the page that sent you). No advertising or analytics cookies are set on this site, and no outside trackers load.
- On your own device: pick a state from the home page and your browser stores it in local storage, which makes the list open the same way on your next visit. It stays on your device only.
Medical information
Do not use the form for medical records or diagnoses. Just give a brief account of what happened; the firm will request anything more it needs during its call. When a description has health details, we hold it just to forward your request to the firm, and it gets the same protection as your other information.
Where does your information go?
Details from your form and calls go to the law firm whose ads appear on this site to reach you about your claim. They also go to companies that run the site's hosting, keep submissions and handle our calls, under contracts that limit how those companies use them. As a lead generator, Train Accident Lawyer gets paid by the advertising firm for these introductions; California law can treat that payment as a sale or a sharing of personal information. Nothing else goes to anyone else unless the law requires it.
Time limits for keeping information
Submitted forms and call records stay on file no longer than three years, which covers the site's longest transit claim deadlines, and are then deleted. We keep server logs no longer than 13 months.
Your rights
No matter which part of the United States you call home, you may ask what we have about you or request a copy. You may also ask us to fix or erase it, or tell us you don't want it sold or shared. The law gives these rights to residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Utah, Virginia and any other state with a privacy law. Send an email to help@train-accident-lawyer.com; you can also use the opt-out page. We confirm the request is yours before answering, which happens within 45 days, and you are treated the same whether or not you use these rights. With your signed permission, an authorized agent may make the request for you.
Consent for calls and texts
Sending the form meant agreeing that a single law firm may contact you by phone or text about your transit claim. If you change your mind, tell the caller, answer a text with STOP or send us a note.
Children
Adults are the intended users of this site. Calling or writing for an injured child should be done by a parent or guardian.
