SEPTA notice deadline
SEPTA must get a signed written notice no later than 6 months after the injury. This notice lists your name and address, the accident's date, hour and location, and the doctor who treated you. This rule comes from 42 Pa.C.S. § 5522(a).
Time limit for filing a lawsuit
After an injury, you have 2 years to file the lawsuit. That time limit is set by 42 Pa.C.S. § 5524(2).
Filing a claim with SEPTA
Send the written notice to SEPTA's office at 1234 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107. Because SEPTA is a Commonwealth agency, the Pennsylvania Attorney General also gets a copy. Official page.
